Sega has delayed the console release of Humankind

It was supposed to debut on PlayStation and Xbox consoles on November 4, 2022, but Humankind will wait longer than expected. Through a statement, SEGA Europe and developer Amplitude Studios confirm the postponement of the turn-based strategy game already enjoyed on PC and Google Stadia to 2021.
In light of the uncertainty about the release date, Amplitude Studios is allowing all those who have reserved digital versions to request a refund if they wish.
The authors announced PlayStation and Xbox versions of Humankind last summer, thanks partly to a collaboration with Aspyr Media. Instead, the new editions got postponed due to "some unexpected challenges" in developing the conversions. Undoubtedly a cold shower for fans of the genre, especially since it was less than a month before Humankind's new debut (also scheduled for day one on Xbox Game Pass, by the way).
"We apologize for the inconvenience," the developers explain, "but rest assured that SEGA Europe, Amplitude Studios, and Aspyr are working hard to bring the best HUMANKIND experience to console players. We can't give a timeframe on a new release date right now, but as soon as we are in a position to do so, we will let everyone know and thank the community for their continued support and understanding."

All is on track instead for the game's first major expansion, Together We Rule, which will arrive on PC on November 9 as scheduled.
