Frogwares released the first trailer for Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, a remastered adventure of the famous detective that has already completed its Kickstarter campaign.

The amount requested by the developers was $70,000, and the fans have already contributed more than $120,000, demonstrating the trust the players have in the studio.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened, also known by its code name Project Palianytsia, is a remake of the game released in 2006, coming to PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

This new Sherlock Holmes remake will lead us to investigate several disappearances in Europe and the United States, leading us to a Cthulhu-themed cult.

''The Awakened is set a few years after the events of our latest game, Sherlock Holmes Chapter One. Holmes and Watson are merely roommates renting a flat at 221B Baker street.'' Frogwares say about the game.

''It’s the events of this adventure that will turn them into the iconic crime-solving duo of best friends, and it’s the only story that Watson will never reveal to the public - the world will be better off being ignorant of what really transpired.''

The developers stated that the title is being made entirely from scratch using Unreal Engine 4, with new graphics, animations, and content that will expand the game's story.

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened is set to release in February 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
