The long-awaited remake of Silent Hill 2 could soon expand to new platforms. Its exclusivity period with PlayStation 5 and PC appears to be nearing its end, opening the door for potential new versions.

The mystery behind the official site
The Bloober Team title launched on October 8, 2024, as a timed exclusive for PS5 and PC. Now, just days before that one-year window expires, the game’s official website shows two blank slots where additional platform logos are expected to appear.

The discovery was spotted by Rebs Gaming, who noticed the missing logos—sparking speculation that Silent Hill 2 might soon release on Xbox Series X|S and, most notably, on Nintendo Switch 2.

Why a Switch 2 version makes sense
The rumor gained traction after the success of Cronos: The New Dawn, another Bloober Team title that performed impressively on Switch 2, delivering solid visuals and stable performance. That precedent makes it plausible for the studio and Konami to bring their acclaimed remake to Nintendo’s new console.

Additionally, the exclusivity period officially ends this Wednesday, suggesting that an announcement could arrive any day now. If true, it would be a huge win for horror fans and a strong addition to the Switch 2’s growing launch lineup.

A second chance for Bloober Team
Silent Hill 2 marked a turning point for Bloober Team, a studio previously known for divisive projects like The Medium, Blair Witch, and Layers of Fear. Critics praised the remake as a modern homage to Konami’s classic, and releasing it on more platforms could further cement that success.

For now, fans can only wait for an official announcement — and we’ll be ready to share it with you the moment it drops.
