Silent Hill: The Short Message surpasses one million downloads

Through a post on its official X account, Konami celebrated the over 1 million downloads of Silent Hill: The Short Message, a free installment currently available on the PlayStation Store exclusively for PS5. The Japanese company thanked the players who gave this experience a chance, which has a duration of almost 2 hours.

Silent Hill: The Short Message is an immersive first-person horror and psychological horror experience. The protagonist, Anita, is in an old residential complex seeking answers about the death of her best friend. Soon, this desolate place will transform into a nightmare full of guilt, horror, and traumas, being stalked by a terrifying creature that, by the way, was created by Masahiro Ito, a veteran of Team Silent.

This free game for PS5 has divided opinions, although many agree on praising the work of Masahiro Ito and the soundtrack composed by Akira Yamaoka, another familiar face for fans of the franchise.

Speaking of Silent Hill, Hexadrive, the studio that participated in Silent Hill: The Short Message, revealed Konamis intention to create ports of its classic releases, titles that are currently very expensive in their original physical versions and do not have the correct representation in their digital versions.
