Starfield is Bethesdas most ambitious work to date, and Todd Howard didnt hesitate to point out that its the game hes wanted to make for the past 25 years. The space adventure promises to be immense, including all sorts of interactions and consequences for our actions. Just a few weeks before its release, the company shared new and intriguing details.

What are the new details revealed about Starfield?

Bethesda shared new information about Starfield that has only fueled the hype for the upcoming release on September 6th for Xbox Series X|S and PC. According to the company (via Klobrille on Twitter), there will be houses in the main cities that can be bought or obtained as rewards for mission progress, as expected in an open-world universe, likely related to movement towards other settings.

On the other hand, Starfield and its societies will have authorities responsible for law enforcement, and since you can choose the path of a pirate or commit crimes, you should know that prison or fines await you. In the inhabited worlds of Starfield, there are governments and laws. According to the information, you can escape during arrests, or if presented to the authorities, you can choose between going to jail or paying a hefty fine.

Furthermore, as briefly anticipated, in Starfield, you can be a smuggler and will know which items are prohibited, so youll have to devise ways to pass them without alerting the authorities to trade with them or fulfill mission requirements.

Additionally, Bethesda confirmed over 20 unique characters who will join your adventure in one way or another, each with specific stories, reasons, and motives to be with you (or perhaps against you). Finally, it was revealed that these relationships with other characters will be a key part of the storys development.
