Nintendo continues to delight Nintendo Switch users with its online services, occasionally confirming the addition of retro titles to the virtual catalog. Today, theres fabulous news for fans of the friendship-ruining Mario Party titles, as another installment will be playable on Nintendo Switch.
This evening, Nintendo surprised everyone by announcing that Mario Party 3 will be coming to Nintendo Switch through the retro titles catalog of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack.
With this addition to the catalog, the trilogy of this series developed for the Nintendo 64 can now be fully played on the current Nintendo console. Mario Party (1998) and Mario Party 2 (1999) are already available, and Mario Party 3 (2000) will debut on October 27.
Can Mario Party 3 be played online on Nintendo Switch?
Its important to note that unlike Mario Party and Mario Party 2, the trailer for Mario Party 3 doesnt mention if it can be played with other users online, so its currently unknown.
In case you didnt know, players can play the Nintendo 64 ports on Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack with other users online, but only if those players are on their friends list, as the emulated titles do not have random online matchmaking.
