Hideo Kojima is one of the most recognized developers in the video game industry. His stature is such that he has even released a book and has just premiered his documentary, which interestingly enough is shorter than one of the cinematic sequences in one of his titles.
You may recall that the Japanese creative had a special participation in the Tribeca Film Festival 2024, where his documentary, titled Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds, was screened. Not directed by him, but rather by director Glen Milner, it offers a glimpse into the developers mind and his work, accompanied by comments from actors who have worked with him.

Where to watch and how long is Hideo Kojimas documentary?
Well, if youre a fan of Hideo Kojima and didnt have the opportunity to attend the film festival, theres good news because the production is already available on Disney+.
The bad news is that the documentary is only available in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Japan, Australia, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States, so its impossible to watch it in other regions through this service.
Something very interesting is that Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds has a shorter duration than one of the cinematic scenes in one of the games he created: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, as pointed out by Kotaku.
Although, to be honest, the cinematic scene in question is certainly extraordinary, as it is the epilogue of the PlayStation 3 exclusive, which earned the Guinness World Record for lasting 71 uninterrupted minutes of cinematic material; that is, it is the longest cinematic scene in a video game.
In case you missed it: Hideo Kojima is working with Sony to create a new espionage and action franchise.
