Much has been said about exclusivity in the video game industry. The truth is that both Microsoft and Sony are trying to expand their horizons to bring their titles to more platforms. The PlayStation house will continue with that strategy, and it seems that they are already preparing to bring one of the most important titles for the brand to PC.

Over the past couple of years, weve seen the release of PS4 and PS5 exclusives on Steam, from Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn to Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and God of War. This trend will continue in the coming months.

Not too long ago, Sony confirmed last week that Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut, the definitive version of the acclaimed open-world game developed by Sucker Punch, will make its way to computers on May 16. Now, it seems that another PlayStation game will leave exclusivity.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered Could Be Heading to PC

Insider Silknigth, who has recently gained visibility thanks to his predictions and claims about the video game industry, is making headlines again. In a post, he indicated that The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be the next PlayStation game to arrive on more platforms.

According to the informant, the PC port of the criticized Naughty Dog title will be announced in April, although he was unable to provide the exact date. He mentioned that the release is far off, as there will be a longer period than usual between the date of the official announcement and the release day.

"The next Sony PC game is The Last of Us Part II Remastered. Its announcement is expected next month, although the date is unknown. There will be a longer period than usual between the announcement date and the release day," commented the insider.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered will be the next PlayStation PC port, according to the leak

If this information is accurate, it is most likely that the PC port of the PlayStation exclusive will be available in late this year or early 2025. The reason? To coincide with the release of Season 2 of The Last of Us series and create a commercial partnership.

This is pure speculation. Although Silknigth was one of the first people to reveal the PC port of Ghost of Tsushima, his statements should be taken with a grain of salt. Well have to wait until Naughty Dog and Sony confirm or deny these reports.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered is the enhanced version of the controversial and criticized 2020 game. In addition to polishing the visual aspect, it introduces a completely new roguelike game mode and additional content that sheds light on the development process.

The second season of The Last of Us will premiere in 2025

Recently, Silknigth pointed out that PlayStation will focus on remasters and remakes in the future to fill its release calendar.

But tell us, do you think this game will be available for PC via Steam?
