At the end of 2022, it was revealed that Hellboy would return to the world of video games with a new installment in collaboration with Mike Mignola, the creator of the IP. Unfortunately, the title has just been delayed, but its not as bad as you might imagine.
The reveal trailer presented at The Game Awards 2022 indicated that Hellboy Web of Wyrd would debut on October 4, 2023, which is in the middle of this week. However, the title has just suffered a delay, but its very slight.
When will Hellboy Web of Wyrd be released, and why was it delayed?
In a press release, the publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment announced that Hellboy Web of Wyrd will not be released on October 4 as initially planned but will be launched on October 18 of the same month. Therefore, the delay is only 2 weeks.
The publisher explained that the reason for the delay is to have a bit more development time to ensure that the project meets the quality standards that players expect.
"The developer Upstream Arcade continues to work hard to ensure that all players —longtime and new fans of the Hellboy universe— receive the best possible experience," said Good Shepherd Entertainment (via Gematsu).
