Sony and PlayStation put an end to the recent Helldivers 2 controversy. This morning, they announced that PlayStation Network and Steam account linking will no longer be required to play on PC, which pleased the entire community on Valves platform.
Players of the title on Steam are grateful to Sony and PlayStation for listening to their criticism and feedback. They all believe that Helldivers 2 is an excellent game and that it doesnt deserve the negative reviews it received due to the controversy.
For this reason, fans of the sequel celebrated the change of position of the companies and are now agreeing to reverse the review bombing and fill the title again with positive reviews on Steam.
Players will reverse review bombing to Helldivers 2 as a thank you

The mandatory requirement to link accounts in order to play Helldivers 2 on Steam upset gamers too much. Within hours, the title received thousands upon thousands of negative reviews on Valves platform, killing the good reputation of Arrowhead Game Studioss sequel.
Now that Sony and PlayStation changed their minds, the community believes it is time to return to the title its positive reviews. Through reddit, the community celebrated their triumph, as their reviews were fundamental for the companies change of stance.
They also started a campaign to reverse the negative reviews as a show of thanks to the developers, who were extremely concerned and distressed by the situation.
“If youre reading this, go change your negative reviews. We won! Go change your review if you havent already,” one gamer recommended to all fans of the title.
Several similar requests are circulating on social networks, as all players agree that Arrowhead Game Studios has done a great job and does not deserve criticism for a Sony decision.
On the other hand, there are also players who will reverse their reviews as they believe it is a way to send a message to PlayStation and Sony. In this way, they hope that the companies will take their future comments into account and not make similar moves.
