Call of Duty made its mobile debut in 2019 with Call of Duty: Mobile. The smooth-running title has enjoyed almost its first 5 years, but something worried fans and made them question a possible imminent closure.
The Call of Duty franchise will soon expand with the release of the mobile version of Warzone, the successful battle royale installment of the series making its debut on mobile devices after its success on consoles and PC. This is precisely the reason why some suspect that the main installment will no longer receive support.
Will Call of Duty: Mobile stop receiving support?
This week, through the Call of Duty: Mobile social media channels, it was announced that the Shoot House and Alcatraz modes would soon be unavailable, on the eve of the release of Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile. Many took this as a gradual withdrawal of support for the original installment to focus on Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
Amidst the concerns of many users, the projects team reassured players in a subsequent post, stating that "Call of Duty: Mobile will continue to receive new content with each season" and that there are no plans to stop injecting content into the title. On the contrary, they teased "exciting new content" scheduled for later this year.

Its important to mention that, while Call of Duty: Warzone seems like the battle royale complement to the main Call of Duty: Mobile experience, they are, in fact, two separate projects. The original installment is handled by TiMi Studio Group, while Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is developed collaboratively by Digital Legends Entertainment, Beenox, Activision Shanghai Studio, Solid State Studios, and Demonware. Therefore, concerns about Call of Duty: Mobile ceasing to receive content because its studio focuses on the battle royale dont make much sense.
Furthermore, TiMi Studio Group made it clear that the modes leaving Call of Duty: Mobile will return in future seasons through rotation, just as it has happened so far, so there is no reason to worry.
