Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be one of the biggest games of 2023 to the extent that ]it will come on 2 discs and take up more space than Starfield. Square Enix is expected to spare no content; in fact, they dont even have post-launch content planned.
If you were hoping that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth would have additional content like Final Fantasy VII Remake, you are mistaken because Tetsuya Nomura, the creative director of the project, confessed that there are no plans for it.
"We are not planning any DLC for this release," were the words expressed by Nomura in an interview with Vandal.
There is a possibility that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will have DLC
If the answer sounds familiar, its because Square Enix said something similar about Final Fantasy XVI, when before its release, the Japanese company assured there were no plans to release DLC for the game at that time because they were focused on completing the development of the main game.
However, the company never ruled out expanding the story of Valisthea, and shortly after the games release, the company confirmed that they would be working on DLC after fans wanted to know more about the content and the inhabitants.
That said, it should not be ruled out that something similar could happen with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, perhaps in the vein of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, which included the additional episode Episode INTERmission.
