Today, content creators go to great lengths to stand out and achieve fame. Even those with an established user base often take on complex challenges to entertain an increasingly demanding audience. In this context, there are streamers who want to make history at the expense of their health.
Such is the case with Norme, a popular influencer with over 1.21 million subscribers on his YouTube channel. He usually uploads videos of horror games and Roblox, as well as lists where he rates memes and other viral content; however, in the past week, he has made headlines for perhaps the wrong reasons.

Norme, YouTube Streamer, Hits Over 250 Hours Without Sleep and Concerns Fans
Specifically, the YouTube streamer began an uninterrupted live stream with a single goal in mind: to surpass 12 days without sleep to set a new world record. He is gradually approaching the goal, but concerns about his health increase significantly with each passing minute.
At the time of writing, Norme has been awake for 252 hours. Although he claims he will break the record and complete the challenge at 265 hours, the actual 12-day period without sleep totals 288 hours. It is unknown when he will stop. To complete this challenging feat, he has the support of his brother, who helps him stay awake by spraying water on his face.
Currently, the live stream has over 1,600 viewers. While some encourage the young influencer, many express concern in the comments section and urge him to stop to avoid risking his health. Reports indicate that he has already shown signs of hallucinations and disorientation, and even came close to fainting.

“15 minutes of fame isn’t worth it,” wrote a user in the live chat. “Guys, we need to stop Norme from doing this challenge, but not by harassing him or his family,” wrote Dyasty, one of the channel’s moderators.
In September 2023, popular streamer PrimeTime from Kick set a new world record for the longest uninterrupted stream without sleep. Specifically, he played Grand Theft Auto Online and performed other activities to entertain his audience for 164 consecutive hours.
On the other hand, the Guinness World Record for the longest time without sleep belongs to Robert McDonald, who managed to stay awake for 453 hours and 40 minutes; however, the organization stopped accepting new challenges in 1997. Needless to say, attempting this challenge could significantly damage health, so we do not recommend it at all.
But tell us, what do you think of this dangerous challenge? Let us know in the comments.
