Xbox Exclusives Coming to PlayStation and Nintendo?” Microsoft Employee Fuels Rumors

Por Ulises Contreras el 08 de February de 2024

Xboxs new business strategy is undoubtedly the talk of the town. What does it entail? No one knows for sure, but theres speculation that their exclusive games will be available on more platforms. Many questions remain unanswered, and an interesting find has caught the attention of players.

Recent reports suggest that Xbox will abandon the traditional exclusivity model, allowing high-profile games like Starfield, Halo, Gears of War, and many more to come to PlayStation, Nintendo, and other platforms.

This information is still speculative, so we must take it with a grain of salt and wait for the official announcement coming next week. However, in the midst of this storm, a Microsoft employee fueled the rumors. Did they reveal more details than they were supposed to?

Microsoft Employee Confuses Xbox Fans

As discovered by user Timur222 (via Push Square), Cary Chen, Microsofts Director of Game Content in Asia, updated his LinkedIn profile to reflect his new position in the company. What caught the fans attention was the description he provided.

According to reports, the employee commented on his profile that his role is to "manage a high-performance go-to-market strategy for Microsoft Game Content in Asia. The portfolio includes Xbox Game Studios, Activision Blizzard, Zenimax, and Bethesda through PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and mobile."

What will be the future of Microsoft and Xbox?

Shortly after, it seems that Cary Chen modified the information on his LinkedIn account and completely removed the mention of platforms. As is often the case in these scenarios, a screenshot showing the original description is now circulating on the internet.

Of course, its challenging to determine whether the Microsoft Asia employee made a simple error or accidentally revealed Xboxs future plans. Its important to note that Bethesda, Activision Blizzard, and others games are already available on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, so its impossible not to wonder why the information was removed. Its worth remembering that earlier this week, a job listing suggested that Halo could come to "all platforms."

But tell us, what do you think of this situation? Do you think it was a mistake? Let us know in the comments.
