Microsoft will treat Xbox Game Pass users during the final month of the year. The subscription service had an incredible 2025 filled with exciting premieres, day-one releases, and a major restructuring of its content plans. Subscribers will be able to close out the year on a high note and enjoy very appealing games throughout December.

Which games are coming to Xbox Game Pass in December 2025?

The rumors were true: the latest installment of a major fighting franchise will join Xbox Game Pass very soon. We’re talking about Mortal Kombat 1, the game from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games. It received mixed reviews and fell short of its creators’ expectations, but it still earned the approval of many long-time fans.

Mortal Kombat 1 will be the biggest addition of December. It will be available starting December 10 for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Xbox Game Pass Premium users. Fans of the franchise should also know that another beloved entry will leave the service, but we’ll get to that shortly.

Starting today, subscribers can enjoy Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, the new narrative adventure from the creators of Life is Strange. During the first half of the month, other notable games will arrive, such as the roguelikes Monster Train 2 and 33 Immortals.

There’s also good news for Xbox Game Pass Premium members, who will have access to more titles. This tier will receive games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and Spray Paint Simulator. Of course, there will also be day-one releases like Routine, a horror game with sci-fi elements.

The lineup is further complemented by titles such as A Game About Digging A Hole, Death Howl, and Dome Keeper. Essential subscribers will get new additions like World War Z, Stellaris, and Medieval Dynasty. Below is the full list of games arriving during the first half of December.

Which games will soon leave Microsoft’s service?

Among them is Mortal Kombat 11, one of the most beloved entries in the fighting franchise. There’s also limited time to play titles like Still Wakes the Deep, Wildfrost, and Hell Let Loose.

Before Microsoft confirmed the list, preliminary reports suggested that Hollow Knight would also be removed, but the final lineup does not include it. Below are the games that will soon disappear from Xbox Game Pass.

Leaving on December 15:
