Several sources claim that Xbox is working on interesting changes and updates for its ecosystem. One of its projects could arrive this year and, as we informed you some time ago, it would be related to its achievement system. Apparently, it is a matter of waiting just a little more for this section to be renewed with attractive new features.

Xbox to revamp its achievement system in 2024, according to reports

Changes to Xboxs achievement system could be on the way

As of September 2023, there are reports claiming that Xbox will completely revamp its achievement system. Among the new features would be a new achievement that would be equivalent to PlayStations Platinum trophy. While the project has not been officially confirmed, more sources recently spoke about it.

Insider Shpeshal Nick noted that the update for this section of the Xbox ecosystem is imminent. According to his sources, it will arrive sometime this year, although he is not sure when it will happen. Nor is it known all the tweaks the company is supposedly planning.

He stated that Xbox is almost finished with preparations for this development, so he could reveal the first details soon. However, he warned that the changes could also take some time, as they are likely to be in Beta first and gradually launched sometime in 2024.

"What I’m hearing is that Xbox are nearly done with their achievement overhaul, with changes to achievements, and we should be seeing it next year. When they say next year I’m assuming they’re aware of the fact that it’s New Years Eve, so I guess they mean 2024.

"But we should be, at the very least, being shown it, because you know how they sometimes put stuff in beta and then it goes through different rings," said the insider.

While Shpeshal Nick has proven to be a reliable source in the past, its best to wait for official information. The idea of a possible revamp to the achievement system makes sense, as the achievement system has undergone very few changes in its history.
