PlayStation is finally giving trophy hunters something more than bragging rights. The company has announced a new initiative called Franchise Rewards, designed to treat dedicated fans who complete in-game challenges with access to exclusive merchandise. The first campaign celebrates Ghost of Tsushima, but there are a few caveats to note.
Earn Exclusive Ghost of Tsushima Collectibles
Through a post on the official PlayStation Blog, Sony revealed that players can now unlock the right to purchase limited-edition items by earning specific trophies in select games. For Ghost of Tsushima, fans who reach 100% completion can get their hands on two exclusive collectibles.
Players on PS4 and PS5 who have earned the Gold Trophy “Mono No Aware”—awarded for finishing the main campaign and watching the credits—can purchase a commemorative Ghost of Tsushima T-shirt inspired by Jin Sakai’s 2020 adventure. The shirt retails for $30 USD.
Meanwhile, those who’ve gone the extra mile to unlock the Platinum Trophy “Living Legend”—which requires exploring and completing everything the open world has to offer—will gain access to a limited-edition pin modeled after Jin Sakai’s mask, priced at $25 USD.

As expected, these items aren’t freebies. Earning the required trophies only grants players the opportunity to purchase the merchandise through PlayStation’s official store, and each account is limited to one of each product.
Availability and Regional Restrictions
Players have until December 31, 2025, to earn the necessary Ghost of Tsushima trophies in order to qualify for these exclusive rewards. Purchases must be made before January 30, 2026.
Unfortunately, the Franchise Rewards program is currently limited to players in the United States, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and select European countries (Monaco, Norway, and Switzerland). According to Sony, availability in additional regions—including Mexico and Latin America—is still under review.
PlayStation Plans to Expand Franchise Rewards
Sony confirmed that Ghost of Tsushima is only the beginning. A new campaign themed around Ghost of Yotei is set to launch by the end of 2025, and other major PlayStation franchises are expected to receive similar collectible programs later on.
While the merchandise itself may not be free, the move marks a step toward rewarding PlayStation fans for their time and dedication, something trophy hunters have been asking for since the system’s introduction during the PS3 era.
