Sony hasnt thrown in the towel on virtual reality and we know it has ambitious plans for PlayStation VR2. This morning, it revealed several titles for its device and, in addition, announced that it will expand its reach with support for computers. This means that PlayStation 5 will no longer be the only hardware compatible with the VR headset.
PlayStation VR2 to receive PC support

Via a statement, Sony reported that it has plans to take the PlayStation VR2 experience beyond PlayStation 5. To that end, it is already working to enable support for the device on computers.
Its goal is for gamers to be able to use PlayStation VR2 to enjoy a wider variety of games with the extensive VR catalog on PC. For now, there is no estimated date for this to become a reality; however, the company wants it to happen this year.
"We’re pleased to share that we are currently testing the ability for PS VR2 players to access additional games on PC to offer even more game variety in addition to the PS VR2 titles available through PS5. We hope to make this support available in 2024, so stay tuned for more updates," Sony stated.
Although PlayStation VR2 had a better debut than its predecessor, it is clearly far behind other VR devices on the market. The company made it clear that it will continue to bet on virtual reality and will continue with its strategy of expanding into computers to give a greater boost to its device.
