Even though SEGA never confirmed it, for years fans have discussed the probability of Michael Jackson's involvement in Sonic 3’s soundtrack.

Well, after it was recently confirmed that Sonic 3 & Knuckles will not feature its original soundtrack in Sonic Origins, Yuji Naka, co-creator of the saga broke the silence and somewhat clarified the relationship between Sonic and Michael Jackson.

In a chain of tweets, Yuji Naka mentioned the changes that Sonic 3 soundtrack went through, however the following tweet made everybody lose their minds:

As stated by Naka, he may be misunderstood as English is not his native language and he was referring to the following TikTok:

Again, fans noticed the wording may suggest that SEGA could credit MJ in the near future and use the songs that he allegedly composed for the game. This important detail has never been clarified by SEGA, in part because of the controversy that the famous singer lived after the accusations of sexual abuse against him. Actually many details about Jackson's involvement in the game's development are still under lock and key, but hopefully Naka's statements will help bring more information about this interesting story to light soon.
