The moment has arrived! PlayStation is ready to start the big season of announcements and today its highly anticipated PlayStation Showcase 2023 is taking place. After the period of scarcity, the transition between consoles and controversies in other sectors, the Sony brand is ready to fully start with its current generation and strengthen PlayStation 5 with great video games.

As always, at LEVEL UP we have you covered and here we present the summary of the PlayStation Showcase 2023 with everything that was announced. Without further ado, we welcome you and hope there are many surprises that you will enjoy.

GET TO KNOW HAVEN'S GAME, STUDIO LED BY JADE RAYMOND

PlayStation Showcase 2023 started off strong and we finally got to know the project that Haven Studios, the team led by Jade Raymond, has been working on. It's called FAIRGAME$, a title that presents a futuristic theme with a society in chaos where we will take control of a group of thieves and hackers. This video game will be available on PlayStation 5 and PC. It still doesn't have a release date.

SAVE THE FUTURE WITH THE NEW HELLDIVERS INSTALLMENT

The PlayStation event continued with the revelation of HELLDIVERS 2, the second installment of the great cooperative shooter franchise. This time, it will be our turn to save the future from horrifying creatures safeguarding the planet and ensuring that the rest of humanity does not fall. Reports indicate that the project received AAA budget and today it was revealed that it will arrive this year on PS5 and PC.

EA ORIGINALS' NEW PROPOSAL CONTINUES TO SURPRISE

EA Originals always has interesting projects in the pipeline, and one that has been gaining strength in recent months is Immortals of Aveum, a new first-person proposal that goes beyond shooting by offering superhuman abilities. During today's event, we got to see its new trailer. This title will debut on July 20th.

NINJA ACTION AND SPEED WITH THE NEW GHOSTRUNNER GAME

It's time for frenzy and action, and what better way to do it than with one of the standout slashers in recent years, we're talking about Ghostrunner 2, a first-person action title with ninja combat developed by All In! Games that will arrive this year.

A BIG SURPRISE FROM HONG KONG SHINES IN PLAYSTATION SHOWCASE

The PlayStation event also has surprises, and this time it's Phantom Blade 0's turn, an action RPG with hack and slash combat and a dark theme that is being developed by Hong Kong-based Cruel Man Studio. It still doesn't have a release date.

THE CREATORS OF JOURNEY ARE BACK

Journey is one of the most celebrated original proposals and it was enough for its studio, Giant Squid, to gain a good reputation. That's why today is a day of celebration for those who enjoyed that game because the new project was confirmed: Sword of the Sea.

A HIGH-LEVEL PUZZLE

There is good news for puzzle fans as The Talos Principle 2 was revealed during the PlayStation Showcase, the second installment of this first-person puzzle game distributed by Devolver Digital and developed by Croteam that will be available this year.

GET TO KNOW THE NEW GAME FROM THE CREATORS OF GRIS

GRIS is one of the best indies of all time and of course, fans are waiting for what's next from its creators. Well, the PlayStation Showcase was the perfect showcase to show NEVA, their new title that will debut next year on consoles and PC. Check it out below.

A PIRATE ADVENTURE... WITH KITTENS

Everyone loves cats, as well as pirate adventures, so The Gentlebros studio decided to combine the best of both worlds in Cat Quest, an open-world RPG that will debut next year on consoles and PC.

FOAMSTARS, A UNIQUE SHOOTER FROM SQUARE ENIX

Square Enix is still in search of that big hit that will make them stand out in the multiplayer sector, and this time they will try to do it with Foamstars, a shooter with Splatoon vibes that is in development and will debut for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. After its announcement, some have not been slow to compare it to Nintendo's game.

THE METAL GEAR SOLID 3 REMAKE IS REAL

The rumors are over, and during PlayStation Showcase, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater was revealed with a brief trailer that shows The End's bird in the middle of the jungle, leading to the presentation of Naked Snake, yes, the one who will become Big Boss.

The suspense and dark world of Alan Wake II have been confirmed at the best possible time as it will debut on consoles and PC on October 17th. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer that only ignites the hype to return to this story.

UBISOFT REVEALS RELEASE DATE FOR NEW ASSASSIN'S CREED

Ubisoft may be in a bad moment, but that's no excuse not to release a new Assassin's Creed, and during PlayStation Showcase, the release date for Assassin's Creed Mirage was revealed, which will be available on October 12th.

GRANBLUE FANTASY RELINK, EVERYTHING YOU WANT FROM A TRADITIONAL 3D JRPG

Not happy with the direction JRPGs are taking? Don't worry, the industry caters to all tastes, and that was confirmed today with Granblue Fantasy Relink, a game that will arrive this year on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. Here's the trailer that was presented today:

BECOME A LEGEND IN STREET FIGHTER 6

A CURIOUS ADVENTURE WITH A KITTEN

Cats are in fashion, it's inevitable, and during the event, we saw another game that relies on them to build its proposal. It's called Revenant Hill, a 2D platformer game developed by The Glory Society that tells the story of Twigs, a cat in 1919, who is looking for a place to sleep.

Capcom is having a great moment, allowing them to return to some franchises that were on hold. One of their big announcements last year was the return of Dragon's Dogma, and fans will be happy to see the progress the Japanese company has made as they revealed the first official trailer for the sequel during the PlayStation event. THE TERROR OF ANIMATRONICS IS BACK

Although the heyday of Five Nights at Freddy's has passed, its proposal was good enough to stay relevant, and if you're a fan of this IP, we have good news for you as Five Nights at Freddy's Help Wanted 2 was announced and it will be available this year.

THE TERROR AND ACTION OF RESIDENT EVIL 4 NOW IN VIRTUAL REALITY

Resident Evil is one of the franchises that knows what to do with VR devices, and this time they will do the same with the version of Resident Evil 4 Remake for PSVR 2. This immersive experience is in development for Sony's device, and here's its first look.

BUNGIE RETURNS TO ITS ROOTS

The era of Destiny is coming to an end, and Bungie is ready for what's next. During today's event, the shiny new team from PlayStation Studios presented Marathon, the new version of their sci-fi shooter. Before there was Halo, Bungie dove headfirst into the genre with this IP, which is now back. It's not a coincidence; it seems like a rebirth for the studio, and what better way than by remembering their past? The best part is that it will be available on consoles and PC, so it won't be exclusive.

DESTINY 2 IS APPROACHING ITS END

Bungie is in the final stage of Destiny 2, and the game is approaching its climax. In addition to presenting their "new" project, the studio also presented the trailer for their next expansion, as well as confirming that there will be an event in August that will provide more details.

FIREWALK PRESENTS THEIR NEW VIDEO GAME FOR PS5 AND PC

Firewalk Studios, a team with creatives with extensive experience in the most recognized FPS games, finally revealed the project they're working on. It's Concord, a multiplayer PVP shooter that will debut in 2024 on PS5 and PC. With the announcement came official information and social media accounts.

PLAYSTATION RETURNS TO HANDHELD GAMING DEVICES

One of the big surprises of the PlayStation Showcase was the confirmation of the rumored Project Q, a handheld device that combines the design of the DualSense controller with a high-definition screen and has been created to run games via streaming from a PS5. Jim Ryan presented the new hardware, which is said to arrive later this year.

MARVEL'S SPIDER-MAN 2 HAS A RELEASE WINDOW

Finally! After such a long wait, Insomniac Games' Spider-Man 2 has a release window. This game was responsible for closing the event with an impressive gameplay trailer and the announcement that it will be available on PS5 next fall, which means sometime between late September and mid-December, just in time for the holiday season... hopefully.
