Here’s everything announced at the Nintendo Indie World event!

Oh, indie games, we sure love them and want more of them! Nintendo knows this very well, and they sure deliver when the time comes. Today, the Big N brought a direct focus only on indie titles. Want to know more about it? Heres a list of the games that were presented during the event.

Indie World Showcase



Venba (Spring 2023)

Venba is a wholesome narrative cooking game set in the 1980s in Canada, where an Indian family has newly immigrated. You play as the familys mother, who wants to reconnect with her roots by preparing various South Indian meals. Indian musicals influence the games soundtrack, and the games branching conversations convey a story of love and sorrow.



A Little to the Left (Out Today)

A Little to the Left is the game for you if you enjoy organizing your household goods to make them look as lovely as possible. There are more than 75 puzzles to solve in which you arrange household objects into pleasing combinations. Many of the puzzles have more than one answer. And theres a cat who will disrupt your organizational session.



Rogue Legacy 2 (Out Today)

Today you are a colorblind Knight; tomorrow, you are a lute-playing Bard with Vertigo. Each heir is different, but everyone can be a hero. Earn countless riches, expand your castle, and strengthen your legacy as you uncover the mysteries within an ever-changing Kingdom.



Blanc (February 14, 2023)

Blanc is a text-free co-op adventure in which you play as a fawn or a wolf pup. To navigate the cold landscape, two players must collaborate and use their own strengths. The game supports both online and local co-op play.



Have a Nice Death ( March 22, 2023)

With a business twist, the game stars the grim reaper himself. Death is an overworked CEO who must fight his own staff to maintain the work-death balance at his company. It features lightning-fast hack-and-slash combat, as well as spell and weapon upgrades.



Once Upon a Jester (Out Today)

Once Upon a Jester is an attempt to bring the world of improvisational theater into the realm of video games. It follows best friends Jester and Sok as they plan to steal a Royal Diamond. They must first be admitted to the Royal Theatrical Spectacle. This transports them to a strange land where anything can happen, and no two performances in the game are the same.



Aka (December 15, 2022)

Aka immerses players in the role of retired warrior Aka, who seeks inner peace on an isolated island paradise. In this comfortable open-world game, you can take care of a garden, build a shelter, feed newborn dragons, or sit on top of a gigantic capybara. Aka can also embark on adventures to meet characters and confront ghosts from their past.



Dordogne (Spring 2023)

Dordogne is an immersive narrative experience starring Mimi, a woman who returns to her late grandmothers home where she used to spend every summer from French independent studio Un Je Ne Sais Quoi. Youll take on the role of Mimi in both the past and the present as you unravel family mysteries and explore the French countryside.



Pepper Grinder (2023)

Pepper, a treasure hunter, has been shipwrecked and plundered, forcing her to utilize her trusty grill to reclaim what is rightfully hers. This stunning pixel-art action adventure contains lightning-fast action and smooth drill fighting. Youll earn wealth and other treasures along the route, which you can use to enhance Pepper or open new paths on the world map.



Botany Manor (2023)

Botany Manor is dedicated to gardening. You take on the role of Arabelle Green, a retired botanist who has lived in a stately house since the nineteenth century. Youll save a collection of forgotten flora and care for the manors garden by solving plant-based puzzles. Players must search the manor for clues, newspaper clippings, and other items to assist them in improving their gardening skills.



Sports Story (December 2022)

The long-awaited sequel to Golf Story arrives on Nintendo Switch next month. Sports Story is about far more than just golf and much more than sports. The amusing trailer featured golf, tennis, soccer, BMX, volleyball, and cricket. Youll be exploring dungeons, shopping, or solving mysteries when youre not competing.



A Space for the Unbound (January 19, 2023)

This slice-of-life adventure game takes place in rural Indonesia in the late 1990s. A Space for the Unbound follows the connection of a boy and a girl with extraordinary abilities who are obliged to act when a strange power threatens the survival of their village. The gameplay revolves primarily around touring the village and meeting the locals to discover secrets about the area and each other.



Coffee Talk Episode 2 Hibiscus & Butterfly (Spring 2023)

As a late-night coffee shop barista, you meet eccentric personalities ranging from an opera-singing banshee to an orc who creates video games. Youll listen to their experiences while determining the best cup of coffee for each client, all while listening to relaxing, lo-fi music.



Goodbye World (Later this month)

Goodbye World is a video game about two friends trying to come up with the perfect idea for their next video game. While watching the characters daily difficulties, youll play a retro-inspired puzzle platformer on a handheld that looks like a Game Boy.



Inscryption (December 1)

Inscryption is an inky black card-based odyssey that blends the deckbuilding roguelike, escape-room style puzzles, and psychological horror into a blood-laced smoothie. Darker still are the secrets inscribed upon the cards.
