News has arrived quite unexpectedly of Remedy officially confirming that it is working on a sequel to Control, the third-person adventure starring Jesse Faden! This is excellent news for fans of this title since it's been a highly requested sequel that will finally see the light.
According to the words of Mikael Kasurinen, the developer who serves as Game Director of the entire franchise, Control 2 will take the form of a sequel, and that is all we know to date about the project known until recently under the codename Heron.
What do we know about this title so far?
Seizing the occasion of the announcement, the Remedy exponent also confirmed that the product is the result of a collaboration between the Finnish software house and publisher 505 Games, which will be in charge of distributing the video game upon release.
In this regard, details on the game's eventual release year are unknown. Still, the software house has published a post on their official website dedicated to shareholders to reveal that all the platforms supported by the game: Control 2 will arrive exclusively on PC and next-generation consoles, namely PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

As for the technical side, the development team will again use its proprietary engine, the Northlight Engine. Remedy is also confident about the launch of Alan Wake 2 by the end of 2023.
