Remedy Entertainment the video game developer recently released its 2022 Business Review Report, opening the document with good news. The company will continue with investments in game projects and confirmed that their next major game launch, Alan Wake 2 is in the “full production stage,” so you can expect it in 2023 as planned.
It is not a secret how complex it is to run a company, however, Remedy has been doing its best and now they shared with us the improvements in their strategies.
Actually, within the document, its CEO Tero Virtala commented on their plans, and how Alan Wake 2 will be launched as planned in 2023, he noted that there is still a lot of work to be done, but the game is coming together on all fronts.
So far, their user testing has given “encouraging” feedback making the CEO confident of their upcoming game, calling it an “excellent one”.

Things are coming together smoothly
Virtala also commented on the games that are currently in development or are co-published and/or co-financed with other partners, saying that compared to past years, they are paying a bigger share of the development expenses which is burdening profitability in the short term, but increasing consumer revenue and royalty opportunities in the long term.
Technically this new business model is helping them in the long term and lets them develop better business relationships which eventually will help them grow and let them open more opportunities for new talent and new games.
The latest release, Alan Wake Remastered didn't produce any revenue to the company, however we are glad that even they got this result, player interest is still pretty much alive and Alan Wake 2 is a opportunity to generate revenue this time.
