Harry Potter is undoubtedly one of the most valuable properties for Warner Bros. Discovery. This is something that the company understands very well and why it plans to take advantage of it with a new Harry Potter series to shine a spotlight on Max, its new streaming service.
As part of its announcements related to the unveiling of Max, Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed that it is working on a Harry Potter series. It is a reboot of what we saw in the movies 20 years ago and, as you can imagine, will feature an entirely new cast.

According to reports, the Harry Potter series will be a live-action production consisting of seven seasons. As you can imagine, each season will be based on one of the books. With this, the series will have the opportunity to explore events in a deeper way than the films starring Daniel Radcliffe did.
Reports also claimed that J.K. Rowling, author of Harry Potter, will be tasked with ensuring everything remains faithful to the original material. However, her position will be solely advisory.
