Minecraft will turn 15 years old on May 17th, and the date is particularly special because back in 2009, no one could have imagined that we were witnessing the birth of the best-selling game in history and an unprecedented worldwide gaming phenomenon. The party is just getting started, and two major names will join forces for the celebration.
YouTube and Mojang Celebrate Minecraft's 15th Anniversary Like This
Google's successful video platform, YouTube, and Mojang Studios will join forces to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Minecraft, and they will do so with a cool treat for fans of personalized videos. This collaboration will result in a new Shorts effect, the first one done with third parties, for Gaming Shorts Effects, allowing users to appear in their short videos within the world of Minecraft.
The effect is called "Minecraft Spring," it's in 360°, and when used in a Short, users will appear in the cherry blossom biome surrounded by all the nature and virtual details of the game.

To use the "Minecraft Spring" effect in a YouTube Short, log in to YouTube; go to the Create option in your account, then Create a Short, and in the effects section, you'll find the one celebrating 15 years of Minecraft, either in the All section or in the Backgrounds category.
The celebration for Minecraft's 15th anniversary extends to other platforms. Xbox revealed that it will give away Minecoins as part of the celebration, and here's how you can get this gift to join the party of one of the most important games in history.
