This team is responsible for developing the remake of the franchises first game, and since there hasnt been any progress for a while, its expected that the French companys event will reveal the return of Sam Fishers first story, although nothing is official yet.
Whats Happening with the Splinter Cell Remake?
So far, its known that the remake of Splinter Cell aims to maintain the essence of the first game but expand the story of the characters, as well as the settings where it takes place. In this regard, fans have asked Ubisoft to be careful with the project as they hold it in high regard, and after seeing what happened with the announcement of the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, they fear something similar might happen.
Tom Clancys Splinter Cell debuted in 2002 for Xbox and later had releases on PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube. Its story is inspired by the authors franchise, accompanying the games title with an elite operative named Sam Fisher, specialized in careful stealth missions.
