We are getting closer to the date of The Game Awards 2022, one of the most anticipated events by the gaming community. Many are already excited to find out if their favorite video games will win in any nominated category.

However, there are still many questions about the date, time and how to watch the event, so don't worry, we'll explain everything.

WHEN IS THE GAME AWARDS 2022?

The Game Awards will take place on Thursday, December 8th (the 9th for anyone east of the Americas), live from the Microsoft Theater in LA, at 5 PM PT. There will be a 30-minute pre-show at 4:30pm PST / 7:30 PM EST, at which we expect some of the smaller awards will be shuffled out the door.

WHERE CAN I SEE IT?

The Game Awards will be streamed on YouTube and Twitch. Also, it is important to mention that The Game Awards has opened applications for people to co-stream the event on their Twitch channels, as well. Keighley has confirmed that everything is already cleared for streaming.

The Game Awards will also be shown live in 40 IMAX cinemas across North America.

WHICH GAMES ARE NOMINATED?

As you can imagine, among the nominees for Game of the Year are ELDEN RING, God of War: Ragnarök, Stray, Horizon Forbidden West, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, and A Plague Tale: Requiem.

The Game Awards 2022 allows players to vote for their favorite in all awards show categories. Keep in mind that it is not an empty vote, and it is that it represents 10% of the decision, the other 90% being the votes of the jury.
