COD DLC skin taken down following plagiarism accusations
By Frida Salazar onIt's exactly the sameeeeeee

A month ago, a concept artist based on China called Sailin shared how one of the new Call Of Duty Vanguard skins known as “Loyal Samoyed” skin for operator Kim Tae Young was a blatant copy of their work.
Well, it took time until Activision Blizzard removed the Loyal Samoyed skin from Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard after the accusations widespread on every social media known to man, also they released a statement apologizing for the terrible "confusion".
"We have the utmost respect for creativity and content creation. We love the Loyal Samoyed, but regrettably, we erred in our process and have removed this imagery from the game. We apologize for the misstep.”

As we were saying at the beginning, this took a month of talks and posts…
"Even though I am also a COD player, I am very disappointed to see my work being plagiarized by a big company like Activision in this way," —expressed Sailin.
Actually, the last tweet posted by Sailin noted that they’d been contacted by Activision and hoped "to have a result as soon as possible”. Also said tweet includes the original tweet where they point out every detail copied from their model.
Besides having a cute fluffy dog head, both models shared ridiculously similar details including a neck scarf, parka, radio antenna, thigh-strapped cargo bag, elbow pads… they even share the same clothing.

Sadly this is not the first time COD ripped off an independent artist, we have seen several cases calling Activision Blizzard out for these shady practices year after year, however, things don’t seem to change. What needs to happen for them to stop For now, we hope that Sailin receives the apologies they are asking for…
