A GTA Online player has become a billionaire (in the game)
By Sara Araujo onThis impressive amount took some years to store up

You read right. A GTA Online player has just gathered one billion dollars on his game profile.
Reddit user jamcar70 shared this impressive achievement on the game's subreddit, to a shocking response from the community. This fantastic stunt took jamcar70 two years, 34 days, and four hours of playtime to achieve, as shown on their screenshot, to prove their in-game savings.
In the comments, jamcar70 confirmed they spent a lot of time "AFK on security [cameras]" to maximize the amount they earned via nightclub business without actively playing the game. This is useful when it comes to making a fortune like his.
This accomplishment translates into an average of six hours of playtime per day, considering that GTA Online launched on October 1st, 2013. Assuming, of course, that the player got into the game everyday.
This is quite a victory in the gaming community. Not everyone can proudly say they’re billionaires on GTA (or IRL.) As Eurogamer wisely said: “If only becoming a billionaire was as easy as this in real life.”
