Rumor: A PSN linking feature for PC games and rewards is coming soon
By Sara Araujo onThe files that suggest PSN integration were found inside Spider-Man’s game

It has been recently discovered that Sony could introduce PlayStation Network integration to its PC games! Of course, since its release, fans have enjoyed every minute of Marvel's Spider-Man. Still, funny enough, they have also taken a deep dive into the game files of PlayStation’s latest port, where they discovered references to PlayStation Network integration within its code.
According to Video Game Chronicles, Sony could be planning to allow PC players to link their PlayStation Network accounts to specific games and offer in-game bonuses as a reward. For example, Spider-Man’s files contain multiple references to “PSNAccountLinked” and “PSNLinkingEntitlements.”
One of the questions within the site’s FAQ from VGC was if a PSN account was needed to play PlayStation games on PC, with Sony responding: “No, you currently do not need a PSN account to enjoy PlayStation Studios games on PC.”

Just last week, PlayStation launched a new section on its site specifically about PlayStation Games for PC. So, these recent findings could indicate that PSN Integration could arrive soon, but as a feature for players who choose to integrate with the service.
If we go back to last year, Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, stated that PlayStation intended to create “a whole slate” of games for PC users. If we put all the pieces together, it surely looks like a feature that would lead to an important announcement anytime soon.
