Squid Game is one of the most successful series in Netflix history, so there are high expectations for its Season 2. There's another surprise on the way for all its fans, as the company announced some time ago a video game based on the series and its deadly challenges.
After months without news about the mysterious project, there are finally updates on the multiplayer title. Specifically, Netflix has confirmed its release window, so we now know in which month the game will be available on the service.
When will the Squid Game title debut?

In late 2023, Netflix confirmed that it was working on a Squid Game title. For now, we know it will be based on Season 1 of the series and will have a multiplayer focus, allowing fans to compete in the franchise’s deadly trials.
In recent statements, the company boasted about the growth of its gaming initiative, known as Netflix Games. It claimed that titles like Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition have been a success on the platform.
Additionally, it mentioned that games based on its original franchises have been well-received. As a result, it plans to release more titles in the future, aiming for at least one title per month.
The exciting news is that Netflix discussed the Squid Game title and reaffirmed that it will be a multiplayer experience. The new information is that it confirmed the game will be ready this year, as the plan is for it to debut alongside Season 2 of the hit series.
While the production does not yet have an exact release date, we know it will arrive sometime in December. Thus, the video game will also be released at the end of 2024 and can be enjoyed with a Netflix subscription.
As of writing, no screenshots or videos of the Squid Game title have been revealed, so its appearance and mechanics remain a mystery. Undoubtedly, we will learn more about the series and its video game adaptation in the coming months.
