After an unwanted leak that spoiled the surprise, Rockstar had to change plans at the last minute and share the trailer for GTA 6. While the trailer is already a sensation on the internet, fans are disappointed because its release is far away, and ironically, GTA 7 has become a trending topic.

Thanks to previous leaks and reports, GTA 6 was expected to be released before the end of 2024, according to alleged internal plans, but unfortunately, reality will be different.

"2025? What do you mean GTA 6 won't be released until 2025?"

GTA 6 won't be ready in 2024, and Rockstar has confirmed it: GTA 6 will be released in 2025, with no confirmed date or release window.

This was the only thing that disappointed internet users about the GTA 6 trailer to such an extent that they trended the tag "What do you mean until 2025" on Twitter (X), making numerous posts about how far away the anticipated game is.

And that's not even considering the potential release of the PC version, which has not been announced yet but will likely arrive 1 or more years later, just as it happened with Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2.

GTA 7 trends during the revelation of GTA 6

Despite the long wait to play the new installment in the Rockstar franchise, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar should not be blamed for the distant release, as the companies had never officially mentioned an earlier debut.

But that's not all; ironically, the community also made GTA 7 trend during the revelation of GTA 6. Obviously, Rockstar did not share anything about GTA 7, but fans talked about this hypothetical future iteration to express an even longer wait to play it.

As for Grand Theft Auto 7... it's best to wait sitting down. It might come out when PlayStation 7 is available, and whatever name Xbox gives to its current console.
