Upcoming title Sonic Frontiers finally released its very first gameplay and we gotta say… there are reasons to be excited. The first images came from a new teaser trailer which precedes a series of upcoming reveals by SEGA on IGN this June.

According to the video’s description, IGN will feature all June long everything from world-exclusive gameplay reveals to the first-ever hands-on impressions, to interviews with the game's creators.

As far as we know Sonic Frontiers has raised internal targets and expects sales inside SEGA, turning into their most ambitious Sonic title in years. It features open-world level design as players battle enemies and explore the Starfall Islands, including forests, waterfalls, deserts and more.

A lasting impact

Takashi Iizuka, head of Sonic Team made clear that this game will “have the same lasting impact as Sonic Adventure." Confirming the ambitious intentions behind the game.

Sonic Frontiers will be available during Holiday 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch and PC.
