Surprise! A new Sonic The Hedgehog mobile game may be in the works, or at least that is what a new job listing posted on GamesIndustry.biz’s jobs board has revealed.
Apparently SEGA‘s UK-based Hardlight studio is working on it as the position is titled “Lead Artist – New Sonic Game”, so yeah, that is pretty much self-explanatory.
The job listing reads: “Sega Hardlight is looking for a Lead Artist who can drive both the art and the art team on a new, exciting, and ambitious narrative driven platform game. You could be an art/environment lead with a proven track record or a senior artist looking for a step up in the career".
If by any chance you are the one they are searching for you can read the whole post here.
If you are not aware, Hardlight Studio has been responsible in the last decade of the Sonic mobile games, including Sonic Dash, Sonic Dash 2: Sonic Boom and Sonic Forces: Speed Battle.
We are very excited to see the next Sonic game, in the meantime you can check out the latest mobile titles of the franchise that being Sonic Racing and Sonic Dash+ both available on Apple Arcade.
