Dead Island 2 has been silent for nearly a decade, causing players to start forgetting about it. Last night, during Opening Night Live at Gamescom 2022, a new trailer, release date, and gameplay for Dead Island 2 was revealed, impressing even those unfamiliar with the original title.

At Gamescom, we saw two trailers: the first is a superb cinematic, extremely bloody, and shows one of the game's six protagonists, Jacob, who will raze Los Angeles, the setting of this new installment. The second trailer shows a portion of the gameplay and is bloody spectacular. Deep Silver presents a game with a noticeable satirical component based on its executions and characters.

The release date, February 3, 2023, was revealed, as well as the platforms it will be available on: PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.

Everything seemed to be going well until something went wrong. Between the good vibes and the zombies, Dead Island 2's exclusivity on the Epic Games Store on PC went unnoticed at first. It will not be available on Steam at launch.

Reservations can already be made on the video game's official website. When you try to pre-order it on PC, you will only be able to access the Epic Games Store. Dead Island 2has exclusivity in this store until further notice. This isn't something new, as Deep Silver did it with Metro Exodus.
