Spotted by The Game Post, the Destiny franchise appears to be getting closer to a mobile release. Bungie is working on bringing the MMO shooter to mobile devices, according to a July report, after the series won millions of players on PC and home consoles, and patents registered by the studio are fueling speculation about it.
The patents in question are mostly concerned with the creation of virtual controls for touch devices. Control schemes similar to those found in many popular mobile games, with emulated buttons and control sticks appearing on the screen wherever the user rests his or her fingers, are among them.

NetEase invested $100 million in Bungie in 2018 to become a minority shareholder. The Destiny studio stated at the time that the deal would allow it to "explore new directions" and "build new worlds."
According to rumor and speculation, the two parties will collaborate to delve deeper into the mobile sector, with the plan most likely including expanding Destiny into this segment of the market.

In Destiny 2 you are a Guardian, defender of the Last City of humanity in a solar system under siege by infamous villains. Look to the stars and stand against the darkness. Your legend begins now.
