A LITTLE ABOUT SHIGERU MIYAMOTO
Miyamoto-san, was born on this day but in 1952 in Kyoto, Japan. During his childhood, he was a great fan of manga to such an extent that he wanted to become a mangaka. However, when he tried his first video game (Space Invaders), his interest in that entertainment grew rapidly.
As for his studies, the Japanese graduated from the Kanazawa Municipal College of Industrial Arts, earning a degree in industrial design, and in 1977 began working in Nintendo's planning department as an apprentice.
Once with that job, Miyamoto participated in developing different titles, including Sheriff and Radar Scope, which allowed him to gain experience in creating a game that you will surely know, we are referring to the classic Donkey Kong.
From that moment on, and as a result of the success of that title in Japan and the rest of the world, the creator managed to present franchises such as Mario Bros., Star Fox, and The Legend of Zelda, among others, which have managed to maintain success. from Nintendo platforms to the present day.
Since then, Shigeru Miyamoto has remained one of the main minds at Nintendo and continues to collaborate on different titles, which have allowed him to receive awards such as Person of Cultural Merit in Japan and the Prince of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities in 2012.
