Despite Phil Spencer's presence in the room at The Game Awards 2022, the Xbox team did not take the opportunity offered by the show to surprise the community with one or more World Premieres of first-party exclusives. Xbox division marketing manager Aaron Greenberg reasoned for this absence.

We will hear from Xbox soon enough

The Microsoft spokesperson links back to the promotional campaign launched by the American company with the Xbox Game Pass "Good Luck, Have Fun" commercial aired in one of the promotional interludes of The Game Awards 2022 to reassure the green-crowned community by emphasizing that "We have a lot planned to show and share about an incredibly exciting year ahead for 2023. Appreciate folks are eager to learn and see more."

According to Greenberg, then, for Microsoft, the 2022 Game Awards were not the most appropriate media showcase for the important announcements on the agenda. The Xbox marketing boss himself, in this regard, explains that "Timing is always key, but don't worry, you will not have to wait too long for what's next from us."

In case you missed it: Blue Protocol global release confirmed!

Does the Microsoft executive perhaps foreshadow some Xbox event that will take place in a few weeks? Maybe the company will host an exclusive vent for the Game Pass in 2023, but only time will tell.
