The live streaming dedicated to the reveal of version 3.4 of Genshin Impact, the next free update that will add new characters and unreleased content that will keep players busy for the next few weeks, has just concluded.
The first new addition is introducing two characters already familiar to fans of the Hoyoverse-branded free-to-play. One of the latest entries is little YaoYao, a little girl native to Liyue who is bound to the Dendro element and able to take on her opponents with the aid of a spear.
A lot of new things are coming
The second hero introduced in version 3.4 is Alhaitham, the mighty swordsman from Sumeru, also belonging to the Dendro element and the protagonist of the new chapter of Archon Quest, coming with the next update. Still, on the subject of characters, the first-time banner will feature two 5-Star characters, namely Alhaitham and Xiao, who will be joined by a trio of 4-Star heroes, among whom we will find newcomer YaoYao.
In the second phase of the update, however, we will see two reruns, as Hu Tao (5 Stars, Pyro) and Yelan (5 Stars, Cryo) will again be available.
Turning to new content, version 3.4 will introduce another portion of Sumeru called Hadramaverth Desert, whose size is comparable to that of the map introduced in update 3.1. Within the new area, one can face the boss Setekh Wenut, a kind of desert snake that will likely drop upgrading materials for upcoming heroes.
There will also be no shortage of new events, such as the Lantern Festival or Chinese New Year. During these holidays, timed tasks will be completed to reward the player with lots of Primogems and materials for upgrading weapons and characters. In addition, the event will allow players to get a free hero of their choice from the 4 Stars from Liyue and among them, we will also find YaoYao.

As if that were not enough, the update also marks the arrival of new skins for Ayaka and Lisa, adding to the list of cosmetically customizable characters. Lisa's skin will be free with the event, and Ayaka's skin can be purchased in the store.
