Latest Dead Island 2 trailer officially introduces another slayer
By Frida Salazar onMeet Ryan... again!

A few days ago, a new Dead Island 2 trailer was released, and we were introduced to a new slayer. In case you are not aware at the end of 2022, Game Informer did a coverage, where two of the six new protagonists in Dead Island 2 were presented, among them was Ryan, a muscular exotic dancer who finds himself in Los Angeles to perform a striptease for a bachelorette party.
As you already know he ends up trapped in this post-apocalyptic zombie-filled version of L.A; and after being bitten and failing to transform into a brain-eater, his main goal becomes surviving to take care of his brother.
His official description reads the following:
There’s much more to this exotic dancer than rippling pecs. Ryan has a stubborn streak a mile wide, pessimistic sarcasm as dry as the Sahara, and an indomitable heart. He’s on a mission to get back to his little brother, left behind in Fresno before the outbreak, and nothing – alive or dead – is going to stop him getting home.
In case you forgot: Dead Island 2 is delayed again, but it already has a new date for its premiere
Back then we only had a couple of official images, however, this time we will be able to see this slayer in action, at least for a couple of seconds. On the other hand, they explained Ryan’s exclusive skills:
- Retaliation: Ryan gets a moderate FORCE boost
- Seesaw: Ryan regains HEALTH each time he knocks down a zombie
Without further due here is the trailer:
Also, the developer released a special cosplay guide for all who is interested, we will leave it below:

Remember, Dead Island 2 is expected for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on April 28, 2023.
