This is not the first time that rumors have surfaced about the possible arrival of a family subscription plan for Xbox Game Pass in Europe and the United States, and now the rumors are making a comeback after a reference to Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family appeared on the Xbox app in the United States.

Currently, Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family is available in Colombia and Ireland in a limited Beta version; however, the service may soon be extended to the United States. A Friends & Family banner has appeared in the Xbox app for US players. In all likelihood, therefore, the official launch in North America is not too far away, although this is only a rumor for now.

Rumor has it that Microsoft will have a Developer Direct Showcase in late January. Who knows, this might be the chance to officially launch the Xbox Family Plan in the US and possibly Europe. Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family will cost 21.99 euros during the test period, and subscribers to Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live Gold, or EA Play will be able to convert any unused days into the Family Plan by the following schedule:

  • 30 days Xbox Game Pass Ultimate in 18 days Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
  • 30 days Xbox Game Pass in 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
  • 30 days PC Game Pass in 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
  • 30 days Xbox Live Gold in 12 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
  • 30 days EA Play in 6 days of Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family
