One of the most successful series in recent months is undoubtedly The Last of Us, which continues to surprise us every weekend with the well-known story of Ellie and Joel. However, some curious details that occurred during filming have also been shared. One of them is that it was forbidden to say "zombie."

As you know, episode 5 of the series premiered last Friday, so the first season of the HBO production is already maturing, and only 4 more are yet to be broadcast.

Now, thanks to a recent interview with The Credits, cinematographer Eben Bolter stated that no one was allowed to say "zombie" on set:

"We weren't allowed to say the Z word on set. It was like a forbidden word. It was the Infected. We weren't a zombie show. Sure, there's tension and shocks, but the show is really about our characters; the Infected are an obstacle they have to deal with," Bolter said.

It is worth mentioning that the show takes place after a fungal infection turns people into an infected hivemind that transfers its disease through bites, so it would be completely justified to think about zombies.

However, The Last of Us is not the only show that decides to avoid this term, since in others, like The Walking Dead, everything possible was done not to use that word.

Do you think that the Infected in the series can be considered zombies? Tell us in the comments.
