The Resident Evil 4 remake will debut next week on March 24 and fans can't wait any longer to try this title, which is already gaining critical acclaim for how well-made it is. This is a game like the ones of old, focusing on the single-player campaign, so the adventure is expected to be finite. However, it seems there are plans for releasing a DLC to expand it.

Of all the revamped or never-before-seen features Capcom prepared for the Resident Evil 4 remake is not Separate Ways, the 5-chapter additional story, which tackles the events of the main game from the perspective of Umbrella agent spy Ada Wong.

While this might lead one to believe that Capcom decided to leave out this element of the original game, the company has decided to separate this content to offer something bigger and better.

This was revealed by the recurrent and reliable informant Dusk Golem, who through ResetEra anticipated that Separate Ways will come to the Resident Evil 4 remake as DLC, and best of all, it will be "longer and more complete" than the original version. It is also important to mention that, at the time of Resident Evil 4 the use of a DLC in a title was not customary, so Separate Ways was included in the original game as an unlockable extra, although it was absent in the Nintendo GameCube release.

That said, it's unknown if Capcom will release this mode as a free DLC (like the virtual reality version of Resident Evil Village) or if it will release it as premium DLC, like Shadows of Rose. However, Dusk Golem seems to suggest that the DLC will be paid and could be available at some point in late 2023.

In case you missed it: Get this title for free on Steam before March 23 and it'll be yours to keep forever

It doesn't hurt to remind you that you should take this information as unofficial since Capcom so far hasn't mentioned anything about plans for additional DLC beyond pre-sale bonuses or special versions. However, keep in mind that we are talking about Dusk Golem, a tipster who has proven on multiple occasions to have reliable sources from companies like Konami and Capcom.

Do you think the DLC will be included in the full game or will it be necessary to pay for it? Let us know in the comments!
