The original anime of Pokémon has just ended with an episode that left long-standing fans of the series happy. While the parting was somewhat sad, The Pokémon Company was already gearing up for the next era of Pokémon anime and shared a new trailer with plenty of details.

Although there will be no new episodes of the Pokémon anime in the next few weeks, the latest anime, officially called Pokémon Horizons, will debut in a big way in mid-April, and today we know more about Liko, Rod, and other characters that will accompany them in this new one. Anime focuses on "uncovering the mysteries of the Pokémon world."

Something striking about this new anime is that, unlike the original anime, it will feature many original characters created specifically for this project that does not appear in current titles, such as Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

MEET THE NEW ORIGINAL CHARACTERS OF THE POKÉMON ANIME

We are talking about characters like Friede and Captain Pikachu, who are leaders of the group of Voltionauts Tackle, which travels the world aboard an airship.

This group includes youngsters like the fan of mechanical tasks, Oria and her Pokémon Metagross, the cook Murdock and his Pokémon Rockruff, the healer Mollie and her Pokémon Chansey, and Landon.

As for the villains, everything indicates that it will be the organization called Explorers, in whose ranks Amethio and his powerful Ceruledge.

On their adventure, Liko and Rod will meet other original characters, such as the popular streamer Nidotina, who is wearing a puffer jacket from the Pokémon Nidorina.

WHEN BE WILL POKÉMON HORIZONS BE RELEASED?

Unfortunately, The Pokémon Company did not share details about the availability of this new anime and its localization for the West but promised that it will "later."

"The Pokémon Horizons series is going to be a fantastic adventure that explores new wonders and makes fascinating discoveries about the world of Pokémon," said Taito Okiura, vice president of marketing for The Pokémon Company International. "The new trailer for the Pokémon Horizons series reveals more information about the mysterious adventures that lie ahead for Liko and Rod, and we invite all Trainers to join us in unlocking all these secrets when the series opens outside of Japan at a later date.
