There is no time to waste, and the responsible parties are already forming alliances to bring to life the birth of a new capital of electronic sports.

Saudi Arabia forms a strategic alliance for its esports plans

A report from Esports Insider revealed the recent agreement between the stakeholders of the Qiddiya real estate megaproject, part of Vision 2030, and the Saudi Esports Federation, which is responsible for organizing Gamers8, one of the most important esports organizations in the world. According to the information, the first outcome of this relationship will take place with an exhibition and interactive experiences at the Gamers8 festival, showcasing the Qiddiya project and its esports complex, envisioned as a city that will host major competitions in the sector.

Qiddiya, located in Riyadh, aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a country that welcomes tourism and the world of entertainment in its various sectors. Hence, they are considering having a complex focused on esports and everything that surrounds the competitive gaming scene.

Furthermore, the official Qiddiya website showcases some of the planned entertainment centers, as well as hotels, business centers, a Six Flags theme park, a golf course, a football stadium, a water park, and a race track similar to the one in Monaco, indicating that the project also aims to target major motorsport series.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has increased its presence in the gaming industry through investments in companies like Nintendo, Electronic Arts, Embracer, and Take-Two Interactive, and it is expected to soon make headlines for its support of development projects.
