For months, owners of Microsoft platforms have been very vocal about their desire to try out the game developed by Arrowhead Games Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. A fan even created a petition that has already gathered over 110,000 signatures in hopes of a port for Xbox.

Helldivers 2 Could Come to Xbox, According to Insider
In the latest episode of the XboxEra podcast, the popular and renowned insider Shpeshal Nick addressed the possibility of seeing Helldivers 2 make the leap to more ecosystems. Specifically, he noted that, based on what he has heard, early discussions are underway to bring the PS5 and PC exclusive to Microsoft platforms.
"The rumors I've heard is that there might be certain very, very early discussions about the possibility of bringing Helldivers 2 to Xbox," commented the informant, who has already proven to be a reliable source.
Now, can fans expect Arrowhead Games Studio's game to land on Xbox? Although the statements are exciting, Shpeshal Nick emphasizes that it's not a certainty that a port will happen, as the parties involved could simply not reach an agreement.
"It doesn't mean it's going to happen [for sure]. I just said there are very early discussions about it. It could all fall apart; they could not reach an agreement or something. Who knows? I don't know how these things work. All I've heard is that there are very early discussions about the possibility of bringing it to Xbox," commented the podcast host.
Let's remember that Hiroki Totoki, president of Sony, reaffirmed that the brand will take a multiplatform direction, although it mainly refers to increasing efforts on PC, mobile devices, and the cloud.
