Activision Blizzard is in deep waters… again, after The Communications Workers of America (CWA) has filed an unfair labor charge against the company.

According to The Verge, the complaint comes after a manager threatened an employee after posting an article about the current lawsuit on Slack; the communication app, and discussing it with other co-workers.

The manager allegedly told workers “they could not discuss issues related to the sexual harassment and discrimination lawsuit filed by the state of California against the company.”

Nothing has changed for employees

Sadly, these abusive tactics are not something new for the video game company, according to former Blizzard senior test analyst Jessica Gonzalez, the company has a “pattern of retaliation against workers who speak out” which of course goes against a legally protected right.

This doesn’t stop there, as the complaint also noted: "Within the last six months, the above-named employer (Bobby Kotick) through a manager has threatened employees that they should not discuss issues concerning wages hours and working conditions on Slack.”

Is Activision Blizzard doing something besides intimidation?

Apparently even in crisis mode, the company is busy with other matters as last week its shareholders approved Microsoft’s offer for $68.6 billion dollars.
