After 10 years on air, the anime of Attack on Titan came to an end in November 2023. The good news is that the popular Hajime Isayama franchise will return soon, and fans will once again be able to enjoy its action on the big screen.
This morning, the first details of Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK, a new movie that will hit theaters this year, were revealed. As its name suggests, it will gather the last chapters of the anime into a feature film, with some improvements compared to its TV release.
When will Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK debut, and what will it offer?

Through an official announcement, Isayama proudly unveiled Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK. The movie will gather the 2 parts of the anime’s final season, making it the perfect opportunity to relive the conclusion of the popular franchise like never before.
For this new release, Studio MAPPA will make a few improvements to the original material. We know there will be enhanced scenes and 5.1 surround sound, so fans will be able to enjoy a great experience in theaters.
Attack on Titan: THE LAST ATTACK is scheduled to release this year. It will debut in Japanese theaters on November 8. For now, there is no information on its global distribution, but details are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks.
Lastly, we know that the movie will have an approximate duration of 145 minutes. Yuichiro Hayashi, director of the anime’s final season, published a special message inviting fans to watch the new movie at the end of the year.
“I’m happy to finally make this announcement. Please don’t say you can watch the final chapter anytime on streaming services... I originally drew the storyboard with the idea of it being seen as a single movie, and having the opportunity for everyone to watch it in the best possible environment, the cinema, is a dream come true for me.
