Black Myth: Wukong is one of the most successful games of the year. In record time, Game Science's title managed to sell over 18 million copies on PlayStation 5 and PC, making it a resounding success that has generated more than $800 million in revenue.
Thanks to this, Game Science has the opportunity to work on additional content for the action-adventure title. We know that the studio is planning an expansion, but there are no details about its release date.
The community expects it may take several months to arrive, but a new report has excited fans of Black Myth: Wukong. This is due to a leaked possible release window, which is not as far off as many might think.
DLC for Black Myth: Wukong could debut on a special date in 2025

According to Daniel Camilo, an industry consultant and journalist based in China, the expansion for Black Myth: Wukong may not be as far off as initially thought due to current development times. According to his sources, the additional content is set to arrive in early 2025.
Specifically, it is expected that the DLC will launch to celebrate the Chinese New Year, which begins on January 29. The source claims the content could debut in late January 2025 or shortly thereafter. The journalist added that the information comes from sources familiar with Game Science's plans but also warned that the company's roadmap could change in the coming months.
"Needless to say that plans can always change. While teams have internal plans and roadmaps, nothing is hardly ever set in stone when it comes to release dates in gaming," commented Camilo.
It's important to mention that Game Science has not officially confirmed the expansion. However, one of their investors spoke about the DLC's existence. Currently, the studio is also busy with the release of the Xbox port, which still doesn't have a release date.
