Pikachu has been an enormous icon for the otaku fam and pop culture since the early 90s. All its versions and evolutions have grown in popularity further than the video game world. Everybody knows who Pikachu is, even if they haven’t seen a Pokémon episode or played a Pokémon video game. Pikachu is truly a rockstar. A few years back, Build-A-Bear saw an opportunity and put Pika on the market with an adorable plush, marking the first of the Pokémon merch available in the famous store.

To celebrate this relationship and Pikachu’s ongoing popularity, Build-A-Bear has announced an anniversary plush Pika-Pi that’s so adorable you won’t believe it.

Pikachu was the first Pokémon plush ever released at Build-A-Bear Workshop and signified the beginning of a long-standing relationship between Build-A-Bear and Pokémon. This fan-favorite Electric-type Pokémon is now available in a special limited edition to celebrate Build-A-Bear’s 25th anniversary! Two versions are available in stores and online, with sparkly fur and a collector’s emblem on the paw pad.

For fans of Build-A-Bear and Pokémon, there’s no better way to celebrate Build-A-Bear’s 25th anniversary than to take home your very own Pikachu. The unique plush is available online now as separate bundles featuring a stylish varsity jacket and an online-exclusive sleeper outfit in red or purple. This electrifying plush can also be found at physical Build-A-Bear locations while supplies last.
